We have had an amazing start to the new season with many happy clients on a wide range of water types be it backcountry rivers or meadow spring creeks and small streams every client has landed multiple fish and many very good size.
October has featured warmer than average days bringing rivers to life with many good mayfly hatches and super active trout and as I write this in the last week of October we have had some very good rainfall that will refresh river flows and keep farmers and nature happy. It has been a real pleasure to work with a good mix of beginner, expert and in between anglers all taking away skills that can be further applied and develop in their future fly-fishing path.
There is no better way to describe the first 4 weeks of this fabulous season than some images showing happy anglers, scenic locations and some super well-conditioned trout.
“I had a fantastic few days in Canterbury last week with Martin Langlands who guided me in somewhat challenging conditions which ranged from burning sun and 30 degree temperature to strong winds, pouring rain and incredible cold. After letting myself down a few times and losing some nice fish redemption came resulting in a happy Guide and an even happier me. If you are looking for a Guide who will both put you on to fish and teach you so much you won’t go wrong.” Michael Murphy Wellington NZ
I am very much looking forward to the rest of the season and will keep you posted on news, there are still some good spaces available for the rest of the season right until the end of April so please get hold of me to talk about a trip customized to suit you!
