Higher Flows, Scouting and New Streamer Patterns

As early spring is here and the days warming up I have been out and about fishing, scouting, exploring and testing out a few new streams patterns in a few rivers that are open all year round. This past winter we have experienced higher rainfalls and snowfalls than previous years so it’s fantastic to see the rivers get a good flush out and wholesome clean flows that are are still high right now in some places all this usually makes for a more productive season as trout move around a lot more and have lots of food combined with cold water and makes a nice change after the dry period we have had over last few years .The images show some of the new articulated streamer patterns that have been working very well in the higher flows and it’s just fun being out there finding new pools and runs and that possible ‘holding water” for early season guiding.
