Many days we have found fish up near the water surface feeding avidly on emerging mayflies this brought about a new focus for both anglers and myself and I have been taking many underwater images and much video of mayflies emerging, this is giving us better insight in more effective patterns and ways to fish them.
At times fishing emergers can be frustrating but good news is the more focus we are putting in the better the rewards, its highly informative having improved underwater cameras to get a better view, it is my hope to edit a DVD chapter about Emergers on Troutlands Volume 4 DVD set. The central images is a swimming mayfly nymph common in many backcountry rivers and a vital trout food this insect is featured in Troutlands Volume 3 DVD .
