Martin Langlands
A strong passion for wild places and
the multi-facets of fly fishing has flowed through Martins life for many years. This
passion has lead him to be involved with fly fishing retail {1985-89}, professional fly
tying from 1985 and guiding South Islands many waters from 1990, which Martin specialises
in. Over these years Martin has developed a keen interest in freshwater ecology and
entomology and applies this knowledge to develop innovative and unique fly patterns and
fly fishing techniques. This constant fascination calls him to discover new waters and
locations for which to base guiding expeditions. Many hours have resulted in a vast pool
of wonderful fly fishing locations available to clients. Many hours have resulted in

WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT ?
We are from a fly fishing family. Both of us have been introduced to this wonderful
pastime by our father, Ian Langlands, who has been {and still is} an avid angler since the
1950s. Along with dad we have had incredible instruction from masters such as George
Ferris, Robert Bragg and Al Creedon all of whom shaped our fly casting, and fly
tying skills with a kindly approach towards this rewarding and ever challenging sport.
These fellows are all authors important to NZ fly fishing and have imparted a rare sense
of heritage that we in turn pass on to our clients.
OUR "POOLED" KNOWLEDGE AND COVERAGE OF WATERS RESULTS IN MORE OPTIONS AND THE
EDGE FOR FANTASTIC FISHING.
Like all sports having the homework done is the formula for success. The work starts
well before you arrive.

Great time and effort is put
into selecting waters and accommodations to suit you and our dynamic weather changes. Our
weather is highly unpredictable being an island set in the roaring 40s. You
can experience four seasons in a day but we harmonise guiding with the prevalent
conditions.
DIVERSITY OF ANGLING WATERS...ADAPTABILITY TO
CONDITIONS..AFFORDABILITY..FOCUS ON GREAT ANGLING AND THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE FOR YOUR
ENJOYMENT.
WE WILL GO ABOVE AND BEYOND THE CALL OF DUTY !!!
